Welcome To the
Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop
And The Rivoli Theatre
OPENING JULY 13TH
Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, David Lindsay-Abaire’s Rabbit Hole is an intensely emotional examination of grief, laced with wit, insightfulness, compassion and searing honesty. The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop has been providing quality, award- winning theatre in the Catskills since 1950. Our area’s longest standing Community Theatre organization, the SCDW continues its 2018 Season with six performances of this strong drama July 13-15, 20-22 at the Rivoli Theatre in South Fallsburg.
Becca and Howie Corbett had a picture-perfect family life in the suburbs of New York until a random, tragic accident took the life of their four-year old son. Rabbit Hole delves into the complexity of a family navigating deep grief and learning what it means to try and regain a meaningful life with a re-defined sense of “normal.” Powerfully written and acted and under the able direction of Lori Schneider, the talented cast includes Terri Mateer, John Neails, Taylor Lamerand, Carol MacAdam and Cole Phillips. Heather Strauss is Producer, Jim Schmidt is the Technical Director, Emily Klucinec is the Stage Manager, Properties by Jenny Silverman and Emily Klucinec, Scenic Design by Fran Schiff, Costume Design by Ed Berens, Set Design by Lori Schneider, Jim Schmidt and Harold Tighe.
Rabbit Hole will be staged in the air-conditioned Nartoff-Wells Auditorium of the Rivoli Theatre, 5243 Route 42 (Main Street), South Fallsburg with performances Friday and Saturday, July 13, 14, 20, 21 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, July 15, 22 at 2:00 pm. YOU NEED STOCKING STUFFERS AND WE NEED A ROOF!
The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop needs to replace its roof and one of the fund raisers we are running is a perfect stocking stuffer. For $10 you get a raffle ticket with a three-digit number on it. If that number is chosen as the New York State Evening Lottery Pick during January 2018, you win cash! You get 31 chances to win for just $10. But what if you don’t win? WRONG! You already won when you bought the ticket! Your ticket, whether it wins cash or not, is a free admission to any 2018 production. Since main stage tickets cost at least $15, you get to see a show for just $10…see you won already.
If you’d like to get in on the winning, and help us replace our leaky roof, just emailus your name, address and phone number and we’ll send you a ticket and a pre-stamped envelope to send back you check (checks must be postmarked no later than December 31, 2017 for you ticket to be eligible to win. If it is postmarked later than Dec. 31, 2017, we will make your ticket eligible from the date of the postmark.) If you have a lucky number, let us know and we’ll try to get it for you! (Numbers must be between 000 and 999).
